In 2019, the Community Foundation of the Greater Capital Region launched a partnership with the Institute for Nonprofit Leadership and Community Development at the University at Albany to assess nonprofit board diversity and inclusion throughout their community.

The assessment’s goal was to understand current demographics, identify organizations with policies and procedures related to diversity, and evaluate attitudes around diversity. In this webinar, staff from the Community Foundation of the Greater Capital Region and the University of Albany’s Institute of Nonprofit Leadership and Community Development will unpack the report results. Then Angela Dixon Consulting will help drill into the three key recommendations made:

-Qualify individuals from underrepresented identities
-Match and connect with diverse communities
-Create a welcoming space on boards

Learn how these recommendations can apply to your own organization.
