You asked, we delivered. You can now create custom transaction reports using NeonPay’s new Charge Report feature.

Reports can be tailored to payout periods, month views — you name it. As long as the payment data is being tracked in your Neon One application, you can now report on it from NeonPay in a digestible, easily shareable format.

What is a Charge Report

NeonPay clients can use the new charge report to create a quick, customizable transaction report that meets the specific needs of your finance team.

Simply choose which output and metadata columns you want to see, and add any necessary filters. When you run your report, you’ll get easy-to-read results complete with summary data for fast scanning.

How Can I Run a Charge Report?

The Charge Report feature is found within the Charges menu. To get started, click the “Run Charge Report” button on the upper right page corner.

Once you’ve started your report, you’ll be prompted to choose which output columns you want in your new report. Apply the correct date range and choose the payment methods you’d like to view.

You can also choose to filter out certain metadata so you only get the information you need.

Once you’ve finalized your report, you’ll get a summary and list view of your report results, with information on applied filters available as well.

To save the report to your desktop, click the Export button at the top right corner of your screen. These reports are designed to look great in both your NeonPay application, and in spreadsheets, so you won’t have to do any additional formatting.

  1. Thank you for this article on the Charge Reports. Our organization is having trouble figuring out which report will be best for our finance team to see the donor covered fees. Can you please help us with this? We can’t figure out how to show that meta data column per transaction.

MaryTess – when looking to reconcile donor covered fees, that is best done in the product you have Neon Pay connected to. So for your organization, you’re using Neon CRM. The best report for this is going to be under New Reports > Transaction and Payment Reports > Itemized Transaction Report. You’ll be able to see IDs that are connected to Neon Pay as well as within the CRM and output the Gateway IDs, Transaction IDs, and Donor Covered Fees (among other potentially needed items for reconciliation, such as Full Name fields). If you need further help, a support ticket can help navigate that and that can be done within Neon CRM itself or found in our Customer Portal: https://neonone.com/customer-portal/
