Towards Equity & Abundance: Embracing Philanthropy with Community at the Center

Fundraising from a place of authenticity can feel like an uphill battle these days. Many nonprofit organizations focus on what they don’t have and appeal primarily to the interests of donors with high capacity. But there’s another way to approach philanthropy and to do so with a mindset focused on abundance and equity instead of scarcity. In this session, we’ll explore the limits of donor centricity and strategies to center people and communities with lived experience in fundraising and philanthropy.
